Innovation Award Bavaria for the CPTpatch!!!

Award for wound dressing made from printed electronics

Schreiner Group received the jury's special award at the Bavarian Innovation Prize for an outstanding innovative and technologically complex product development. Dr. Ulrike Wolf, Ministerial Director at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, presented the prestigious award for the medical product "Coldplasmapatch," also known as CPT®patch. This is a high-tech dressing for the treatment of wounds that is based on printed electronics. It generates cold plasma which kills multi-resistant bacteria, promotes cell regeneration and can thus heal chronic wounds - even those previously considered incurable. Schreiner Group realized the innovative product together with the medical technology company Coldplasmatech.

"Successful, Bavarian companies like Schreiner Group develop new products for the markets of the future and are bold and willing to take risks. Thanks to such committed high-tech companies, the Bavarian economy is a leader in research and development and shapes the innovation landscape in Germany and throughout Europe," emphasizes Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger.

More than 100 specialists work at Schreiner Group in product development alone - always closely oriented to customers' needs and at the same time very successful: Schreiner Group has registered more than 100 patents and is often the preferred development partner of numerous international groups in the healthcare and mobility sectors. "We are very pleased that with the Coldplasmapatch a development from the future field of printed electronics has been awarded. Innovation is at the forefront of our four corporate values. We are innovative out of deep conviction and passion and want to inspire our customers again and again with smart solutions," emphasizes CEO Roland Schreiner.

The Coldplasmapatch shows outstanding results - even in wounds that have been classified as non-healable under conventional therapy. The technology is based on the findings of plasma physics, realized through the use of printed electronics and developed on behalf of and in cooperation with Coldplasmatech GmbH. Highly professional manufacturing in a roll-to-roll printing process at Schreiner Group made the product suitable for the mass market. "Our CPT®patch and the associated individual therapy with cold plasma have the potential to revolutionize the wound market in the long term," says Dr. Carsten Mahrenholz, founder and managing director of the partner company Coldplasmatech GmbH. An exciting insight into the development and application is provided by this video, which was created especially for the award ceremony:
